The Central Research Development Fund (CRDF)
The Central Research Development Fund (CRDF)
As early as 1976, the university was one of the first in Germany to establish comprehensive central research funding. Profile formation, the promotion of young talent, and intensification of efforts to acquire third-party funding continue to be the pursued objectives.
This highly successful instrument was adapted in 2011 to the changed framework conditions by adjusting the CRDF funding lines. The new CRDF facilitates transitions between career stages, promotes early scientific independence, and opens up access to new research topics.
Additionally, the new CRDF fosters internationalization and attracts outstanding young researchers – especially women. This page provides an overview of current funding.
