German Thesis Award
The German Thesis Award recognizes the best German doctoral graduates across all disciplines each year. In order to win the award, the young researcher must demonstrate excellence in a specific academic discipline and their contribution must be on a topic of eminent societal significance. With the German Thesis Award, the Körber Foundation bestows prizes totaling more than 100,000 euros each year in three academic fields: the social sciences, the natural sciences and technology, as well as the humanities and cultural sciences. In each field, one top prize of 25,000 euros and two second prizes of 5,000 euros are awarded.
