11 November 2024: Making the most of supervision
A good supervisory relationship is the foundation of a successful doctorate. Usually, supervision is a bilateral partnership by doctoral candidates and supervisors. Entangled relationships, e.g., when the supervisor is also the boss, or the PhD is guiding students or culturally different expectations influence the quality of supervision.The aim of this workshop is to learn how to conduct goal-oriented conversations in supervision and leadership situations. The training of conversational techniques will be one asset. Additionally, clarity for academically and culturally diverse expectations during PhD research will be another focus. This includes reflecting on understanding of individual roles.

YUFE “Postdoctoral Training and Development Scheme”
YUFE (Young Universities for the Future of Europe) starts a “Postdoctoral Training and Development Scheme”. The program takes place from November 2024 until December 2025 and will provide internationally organised trainings and networking opportunities. Postdocs who register can pick from online workshops and get the chance to start new collaborations with researchers of other YUFE universities. More information
