Building bridges across faculties and institutes

With the aim of “building bridges” across faculties and institutes we encourage early-career researchers to boost their careers through interdisciplinary exchange with their peers.

In this forthcoming workshop, we will offer

• three scientific keynote presentations by invited MAPEX ECIs talking about their research: Dr. Cem Örnek (Leibniz-Institut für Werkstofforientierte Technologien - IWT); Dr. Ing. Elnaz Tamjid  (Faculty 04: Production Engineering - Mechanical Engineering & Process Engineering); Dr. Camilla Tossi (ZARM - Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity)
• a scientific and career talk by Prof. Dr. Michael Sentef (Faculty of Physics / Electrical Engineering)
• ECRs and doctoral candidates presenting their scientific work and projects with posters or brief scientific talks
• Carola Schirmer and Franziska Richter introduces the offers and services by the Office for Higher Education Didactics for all of those who are currently teaching or will provide academic teaching at the University of Bremen.

After a day full of science and peer networking, the day will close with a social activity at the restaurant“zum Platzhirsch”, playing minigolf and having dinner.

• learn from others from different disciplines and think outside the box,
