Description

The Università degli Studi di Milano (MA Management of Human Resources and Labour Studies) und the University of Bremen (MA Social Policy) have developed a double-degree study programme beginning in the winter semester 2015/16. Double-degree students will spend a year in Bremen and Milan respectively and will receive two Master's certificates. This programme offers interdisciplinary training in the field of European labour relations with a particular regional focus on Germany and Italy, as it is an extension of the MEST-programme and part of the main area of study "European Labour Studies".

Both study programmes focus on their own specialist areas:

The programme in Bremen has a stronger focus on social policy, whereas in Milan sociological and business factors are examined more closely. Both study programmes place great importance on analyzing institutions of the social welfare state and industrial relations. Furthermore, a degree from both universities qualifies students for a research based career in all areas of social policy and industrial relations, such as in international organisations, government ministries, welfare and civil associations.
