Wireless Underground Sensor Networks (WUSN)
When researching new ways of agriculture or reforestation, continuous precise monitoring is needed. In this
collaboration activity, the ComNets group is developing novel sensor nodes, able to survive and to communicate among each other under the ground. It will be used for monitoring the growing of special reforestation crops and the soil quality on large research test fields in Bremen and in Ngaoundéré, Cameroon (part of the Revitec activities of Prof. Dr. Koehler). It can be further used for agricultural and environmental monitoring.
