optimization of live steam generation
in steam power plants
The further optimization should improve the control quality of the live steam quantity and a higher live steam quantity and thus a higher performance of the system should be available. In this way, systems with a higher level of efficiency can produce more power with lower CO2 emissions and, if necessary, systems with a lower level of efficiency can produce less.
Given the size of the systems, the challenge lies in the large number of actuators that have to be controlled in a coordinated manner using the model predictive control. In the context of this project, the calculation effort (model size) is also an issue. The real-time capability must be guaranteed in any case. At this point, the partners provide support in optimizing the models and calculations.
