Our research focuses on questions in institutional economics and comparative political economy, in particular the interrelation between political institutions and economic, social and environmental outcomes, with a regional focus on Russia, China, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
The work of our research group has been published in a range of high-level, peer-reviewed journals in economics, political science and area studies, such as the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, the European Journal of Political Economy, Economic Systems, Post-Soviet Affairs, Europe-Asia Studies, Russian Politics, Eurasian Geography and Economics, Political Studies Review, East-European Politics, Demokratizatsiya, Voprosy Ekonomiky, and the Russian Journal of Economics.
