Tim was born in Bremen, Germany in 1982. He finished high school in 2002 and then joined the German Red Cross to serve a ten month period of civil service.
From 2003 until 2004 he lived and worked in Australia.
In 2004 he started studying Political Sciences at the University of Bremen, changing to studying Psychology in 2005 (mainly focusing on neuropsychology).
After conducting a 6-months internship in the Institute for Neuropsychology and Behavioral Neurobiology he is currently working as a student assistant (since March 2010).
