The University´s most important capital is highly skilled and motivated staff. In the increasingly fierce competition between universities for the best employees, it is of utmost importance to have a successful staff selection strategy. 

The Bremen University explicitly aims to recruit excellent staff. Hence, we search for the best candidates for every job post.

In 2003 we implemented a structured selection process which enables the University to improve the credibility and acceptance of hiring decisions. Above all, this includes the consideration of legal requirements.

There are extensive procedural rules for everyone involved in a selection procedure. For that reason, a lot of information is available in the internal area.
