We are pleased to welcome Dr. Moritz Heiden from Munich Re at the next Diginomics Brownbag seminar. On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, he will give a lecture on "Investor vs. Investment Return: The Curious Case of Systematic Investment Strategies". Before joining Munich Re Financial Solutions as Senior Investment Expert and working for Scalable Capital and Union Investment, Dr. Heiden received his PhD in Financial Statistics from the University of Augsburg and studied Mathematical Finance at the University of Konstanz.

Based on examples from our recent paper “Retail investors’ trading behavior in foreign exchange markets”, I highlight how systematic investment strategies can be used to overcome prevalent behavioral biases. I’ll give practical insights into research and production of these strategies, highlighting the importance of rethinking the customer approach in a more and more digitalized world.
