Applied projects
The Unit of Intercultural Education organizes and evaluates a number of innovative applied projects that deal with the challenges of learning in diverse societies influenced by immigration and pluralization. In most of these projects, students of education are offered the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in diverse learning settings.
The following projects are currently in progress:
- Tutoring for subjects and language (Lehr-Lernwerkstatt: Fach*Sprache*Migration)
This project has recently focussed on supporting newly immigrated children and adolescents, among them many displaced persons.
- “Rent a teacherman” – training phases for male students of education in primary schools with all-female staff (Männer an die Grundschule)
