Clare Roth

Clare Roth is a recipient of the Fulbright Young Professional Journalist grant to facilitate a longform journalistic project documenting the life experiences of young Muslim girls in Germany. She received a bachelor’s degree in May 2020 from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. After graduating, she worked at Bloomberg News in Washington, D.C., where she helped cover the 2020 U.S. presidential election. She interned at Reuters in Brussels, Deutsche Welle in Bonn and at local newspapers in Missouri during her studies.

She was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Vienna, Austria, where she attended a Viennese high school for the 2014-2015 school year. She also spent a summer learning intensive Turkish in Azerbaijan through a U.S. Department of State scholarship in 2018.
