The aim of the Dissertation Award of the Sociology of Media Communication section of the German Society for Journalism and Communication Studies (DGPuK) and SpringerVS is to annually award an outstanding dissertation in the thematic field of the "Media - Culture - Communication" series that is aiming for an independent book publication. 

Deadline for submission of your dissertation is 31.12.2023, the selection process will be completed by 30.04.2024. The announcement with award will take place at the annual conference of the Sociology of Media Communication Division.

In addition to free publication by SpringerVS, the prize includes prize money of 1,500 euros and public recognition of the selected dissertation.
