When booking hotel accommodation online with our business travel agency, it is possible to select the hotel distributor (the booking provider for hotels).

By popular request, when selecting the business travel agency, care was taken to ensure that booking.com is one of these providers and that online booking is possible. Thus, hotels can be booked with the business travel division of booking.com via the business travel agency and the IT provider Atlatos.

Unfortunately, hotel bookings via booking.com are not without their problems.

One of these is the frequent lack of a hotel invoice, which is required for accounting purposes for tax reasons, among others. In addition, it is only possible for the traveller and the travel cost centre to check the services received and invoiced / paid for if a hotel invoice is presented. If there are any discrepancies here, the University of Bremen only has 4 weeks to object to a direct payment.

Therefore, the hotel invoice must be requested for every hotel stay.
Incorrect invoice items must be clarified on site and, if this is not successful, the Travel Expenses Office must be informed immediately.

Therefore, please make sure that you receive the hotel invoice.
If you only receive a copy, please make a note of this in the travel expense report.
