ZeMKI member Prof. Dr. Christian Schwarzenegger has been elected Secretary of the Activism, Communication and Social Justice Interest Group of the International Communication Association (ICA). The Interest Group is the central point of contact for protest, activism and campaign research, which deals with issues of media communication and democracy, especially in the face of digital change, away from established party politics. The two-year term of office begins at the end of the next ICA conference in June 2024
