On 07.03.2019, IPMI participated in the VHB workshop on Blockchain - Application potentials and research challenges. Four speakers examined the phenomenon of blockchain as a part of the digital economy of the future. The workshop focused on the challenges and research opportunities that arise from an academic perspective, taking into account the various business disciplines and legal aspects. In the follow-up there were four workshops in which concepts on a national blockchain research strategy, on research designs, data sources and the most important research questions, on the drivers of the development of blockchain technology and on the interplay between digitisation, science and law were developed.
