Installation mechanics for plumbing, heating, and air conditioning technology plan and install complex equipment and systems for the supply systems of buildings. Duties include:
Applying the dimensions from technical documentation to components
Selecting suitable pipes, shaped pieces, fittings, sheets, and profiles
Making shaped pipe pieces such as bends or branches, e. g., with cold or hot bending, expanding, flaring, and thread cutting
Preparing to lay pipes, e. g., creating wall and ceiling openings
Installing radiators and panel or underfloor heating systems
Advising and providing guidance for customers, e. g., information about company products and services
Cleaning equipment parts and pipelines
Setting system equipment, creating maintenance protocols
