A special highlight was the European premiere of the breath-taking orchestra composition „Caribeña“ in the presence of its composer Miguel del Águila.

The ensembles practiced separately, but performed together in the same concerts. The orchestra played among other pieces Arturo Márquez' much beloved Danzón No. 2, the choir sung the premiere of “Caissa’s Mind”, a choral cycle of eight tangos for chorus and piano, which Juan María Solare composed especially for the University Bremen Chorus. Moreover, guests from the University Bremen Tango Orchestra and the Pop-Chorus from the Art Academy took part in the concert, contributing music inspired by South and Central America.
