This journal article appeared in a special issue on the repercussions of the Corona pandemic in the German Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology. The study investigates the extent to which the pandemic-related experience of crisis in the workplace influences the extent and effectiveness of health-oriented leadership for employee well-being.
This chapter in the current "Fehlzeitenreport" (in German only) provides an overview about a series of studies on health-oriented leadership at the HSU.
The central finding of these works illustrates a particular challenges for organizational leaders who want to protect and promote their employees' health: It becomes more difficult to maintain healthy leadership behavior in crises, but at the same time all the more important for employee well-being.
