Two new publications about healthy leadership in times of crisis

Book chapter in the "Fehlzeitenreport" and journal article in the German Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology

Together with Laura Klebe, Jörg Felfe, Annika Krick (Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg) and Antje Ducki (Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin), Katharina Klug has co-authored new publications about health-oriented leadership in crises:

This journal article appeared in a special issue on the repercussions of the Corona pandemic in the German Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology. The study investigates the extent to which the pandemic-related experience of crisis in the workplace influences the extent and effectiveness of health-oriented leadership for employee well-being.

This chapter in the current "Fehlzeitenreport" (in German only) provides an overview about a series of studies on health-oriented leadership at the HSU.

The central finding of these works illustrates a particular challenges for organizational leaders who want to protect and promote their employees' health: It becomes more difficult to maintain healthy leadership behavior in crises, but at the same time all the more important for employee well-being.
