Professor Andrea Muehlebach from the Department of Anthropology and Cultural Research is seeking a Student Assistant (Studentische Hilfskraft) for the academic year 2021-2022. Employment will consist of 10 hours per week (12 € / hour) for two months, with possibilities of contract renewal. Start date is December 1, 2021.
Tasks and responsibilities will comprise help with classes (“Environmental Justice,” “Ocean Worlds,” “Anthropology of Water,” “Rights of Nature”) including communication with students and class speakers in English, help with online and/or hybrid teaching, as well as with setting up of class materials. Furthermore, you will help with a departmental self-study (i.e. the creation and evaluation of a departmental survey). Ideally, you should also demonstrate experience with simple website building and design (for example, squarespace or wordpress).
Native English speakers or international students studying in Bremen are welcome to apply, as are students who are not physically in Bremen because of Covid. Much of this work will take place in English and online.
