Februar 2006 fand in Berlin der Workshop "Governance for Sustainable Development: Steering in Contexts of Ambivalence, Uncertainty an Distributed Control" statt, auf dem Hellmuth Lange und Heiko Garrelts den Vortrag zu Thema: "The state as a tillerman - getting back-in or getting squeezed out. Der Workshop wurde von der Arbeitsgruppe "Governance und Transformation" ausgerichtet, die im Rahmen des vom BMBF geförderten Forschungsprogramms "Sozialökologische Forschung" arbeitet.
