Teaching and Talks
For facilitating information exchange and collaborations in neuroscience-related research in Bremen, we are organizing the MindTalks colloquium together with Prof. Dr. Olivia Masseck and Prof. Dr. Tanja Schultz. All presentations are open to the public and we enjoy having lay people interested in understanding more about science in our event!
In teaching, our lab offers a range of lectures and tutorials at the department of Physics and Electrical Engineering (FB1) for the BSc and MSc Physics. Examples include:
- Theoretical Neurophysics
- Computational Neurosciences
- Programming (Python), together with Dr. David Rotermund
If you are interested in opportunities for bachelor and master theses, please contact Dr. Ernst.
Together with Prof. Dr. Olivia Masseck, Dr. Udo Ernst is coordinator of the Master Neurosciences study programme. The M.Sc. Neurosciences is hosted by FB2 (Biology/Chemistry) with substantial contributions from FB1 (Physics/Electrical Engineering), FB3 (Mathematics/Computer Sciences) and FB11 (Psychology). Courses with contributions from the Ernst Lab are shared with Msc/Bsc Physics study programmes and include the following lectures+exercises:
- Theoretical Neurosciences
- Programming (Python), together with Dr. David Rotermund
- Advanced Programming and Data Analysis, together with Dr. David Rotermund
Furthermore, the Ernst lab also offers advanced study courses, lab projects and master thesis within the M.Sc. Neurosciences. Please contact Dr. Udo Ernst, if you are interested.
