Unfortunately, it happens again and again that the wrong BahnCard is selected when booking tickets.

There is a difference between BahnCard and BahnCard Business.

The university does not issue a BahnCard Business and you cannot purchase one privately.

If an incorrect BahnCard (BahnCard Business instead of BahnCard) was selected during the booking process, DB may demand a penalty payment (fare surcharge) during the ticket inspection.

Penalty payments are generally non-refundable!
