Research
Modern drive and energy technology is increasingly characterized by the close interaction of electrical machines, power electronics and control technology. This cross-system technology is an important area of mechatronics and is the prerequisite for the development of new drives with improved dynamics, precision and power density, as required for applications in railways, electric vehicles, mechanical and plant engineering or medical technology. Since half of the electrical energy in an industrial country is converted back into mechanical energy through electrical drives, the great importance of this area is immediately apparent.
Continuous research to ensure progress and new insights is therefore of great importance. On the following pages you can get an idea of our projects and work progress.
