Born Aug. 27, 1940 in Geislingen/Steige; married since 1968 to Eva Knobloch; father of a daughter, Tanja (born 1970). Studied political science, sociology, history and philosophy at the universities of Tübingen, Amherst (Mass.), Frankfurt, Ann Arbor (Mich.).

Hans Küng, Prof. Dr. Harald Müller and Ambassador Dr. Günther Bächler will take place. Herbert Beck (Schwäbische Zeitung), Martin Gerster (MdB), Susanne Babila (SWR) and Uli Jäger (Institut für Friedenspädagogik Tübingen) will participate in a panel discussion on the "civilizing hexagon".

Awarding (for the first time) of the Leopold Kohr Prize donated by the Federal Ministry of Science and Research (Vienna) by the Leopold Kohr Academy Salzburg on 05.10.2010 in the Great Hall of the University of Salzburg.

On the occasion of the 75th birthday the symposium "Friedensarchitekturen in kriegerischen Zeiten" takes place in the Stadthalle in Biberach/Riß. The keynote lecture will be given by Prof. Dr. Lothar Brock (HSFK, Frankfurt/M.). Prof. Dr. Brock, Uli Jäger (Berghof Foundation), Prof. Dr. Eva Senghaas-Knobloch, Dr. Reiner Steinweg (Linz) and the honoree will participate in the panel discussion. Moderation: Dr. Alfons Siegel.
