Project Type: third-party funded project
Funding: Europäische Union

Description

Research into the effects of artificial lighting during the night on ecosystems, biodiversity, health and society has so far only been carried out sporadically and in a wide variety of disciplines. The EU-funded LoNNe network aims to connect European scientists in this field and collate existing knowledge.

As a member of the network, Dr Katharina Gabriel is involved in Working Group 3, which quantifies the value of near-natural night-time darkness for human health and aspects of tourism.
