Prof Dr Karin Wolf-Ostermann and Janissa Altona at the 33. Alzheimer Europe Conference in Helsinki, Finland

Prof Dr Karin Wolf-Ostermann and Janissa Altona from IPP at University of Bremen support the Alzheimer Europe Conference with their scientific presentations.

The IPP's Department 'Healthcare Research' was represented at the 33rd Alzheimer Europe Conference in Helsinki, Finland on 16-18 October 2023. Alzheimer Europe is an organization including 41 member associations from 37 countries. Alzheimer Europe and its members have set themselves the goal of promoting the rights, dignity and autonomy of people with dementia and thus changing perceptions, policies and practices to improve the lives of people affected by dementia. In this context, Prof. Dr Karin Wolf-Ostermann gave a presentation on the topic "Reduction of hospital admissions for people with dementia in outpatient assisted living communities - results of the DemWG study". Research fellow Janissa Altona presented a study from the Den-HB project on the topic of "Evaluation of signposting infrastructures in urban environments for people with dementia - a 360-degree evaluation study".
