The Institute of Public Health and Nursing Research IPP was founded in December 2004 by the Academic Senate of the University of Bremen as a Scientific Institution of Faculty 11 Human and Health Sciences in accordance with § 92 BremHG. The IPP's tasks consist of research, teaching, consulting and science transfer in the fields of health and nursing research. IPP's mission includes research, teaching and knowledge transfer in public health and nursing research.

The IPP is a supporting pillar of the scientific focus Health Sciences Bremen. In the fields of public health and nursing science, more than 100 scientists research and teach in interdisciplinary teams in a total of twelve departments and working groups.The IPP is the WHO Collaborating Centre for Environmental Health Inequalities

Events

Board of Directors

The board of directors of the IPP consists of three university professors of the IPP.

Office

The team of the IPP office acts as a bridge between science, administration and external partners from the fields of health and care.

Organization

Committees: The IPP Institute Council meets at least twice per calendar year.

Scientific Advisory Board

The Scientific Advisory Board advises the Directorate and the Institute Council of IPP on the preparation of the scientific work program and makes recommendations.
