Statistical Counsulting

The Departement of Biometry of the Competence Center for Clinical Trials Bremen  (KKSB) and the Working Group „Applied Statistics“ of the University of Bremen are offering a free statistitical consultation. A weekly consultation of about one hour is offered. Here, interested parties have the opportunity to discuss questions regarding the planning and/or statistical evaluation of a concrete study or experiment, or more general statistical questions with experienced biostatisticians. The consultation offer is aimed at scientists and PhD students from fields of medicine, biology, health sciences and other natural sciences.

The statistical consulting offered is being carried out as part of a course for students of Faculty 3 of the University of Bremen. About three students also participate in each of the consulting sessions, which are conducted by experienced staff members of the KKSB's Biometrics Department and the University of Bremen's "Applied Statistics" working group, in order to gain practical experience in statistical consulting. These are mainly students of the international master program „Medical Biometry/Biostatistics“. The consulting sessions are being held in English.
