The University Choir
The large University Choir was formed by Dr. Susanne Gläß in February 2003, initially to perform Carl Orff‘s Carmina Burana. On average it has 80 to 100 members; sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on the project at hand. Its members comprise students, alumni, administration staff, and many good friends made over the course of time. Since it was founded, the choir has performed concerts in Apulien (South Italy), Danzig, Namibia, Istanbul, Ukraine, China and England.
Rehearsals: Choir rehearsals take place every Monday from 7.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. in the GW1 lecture hall. In addition, two rehearsal weekends are held each semester. Each winter semester there is also a voice training weekend for newcomers.
