Theses in the summer term 2025
You would like to write your (bachelor or master) thesis with us? We appreciate your interest!
Please note the following guidelines and deadlines:
(These do not apply for IEM² students (Business Administration B.Sc.). Please refer to the "Procedure for IEM² Students".)
- Please submit an application by March 31, 2025, via this form. No applications will be accepted after this date.
- After careful review of your application, you will receive a confirmation or rejection of supervision in early to mid-April. The acceptance depends on the quality and feasibility of your planned thesis.
- Alongside the individual supervision, there will be an accompanying seminar with 4-5 appointments. Participation in this seminar is obligatory, failure to attend will result in forfeiture of the supervision agreement.
- Important: The registration of the final thesis must be done by June 15, 2025. A different registration date is not possible. In case of non-registration of the thesis by the deadline, the confirmation of supervision will expire.
- All further supervision steps and dates will be determined individually between the supervisor and the candidate.

- Please submit your completed application between February 1 and 28, 2025 to bewerbung.bachelorarbeit.iem2protect me ?!uni-bremenprotect me ?!.de.
- Mid-March, you will be notified who will supervise your thesis.
- If your thesis is supervised by us, you will have to fill in this form about your thematic interests and methodological knowledge by April 15, 2025, so that we can assign you to a suitable supervisor.

Topics
For writing a thesis with the BIT Institute, you can apply for one of the suggested topics or propose your own topic. Within this topic, one specific research questionhas to be formulated and answered. Topic suggestions without further details are available for Bachelor's and Master's theses and are usually systematic literature reviews. Further specification is based on your application with your supervisor. More information on topics can be found on the BIT Institute website.
