Information for participants

The theory congress takes place at the ATLANTIC Hotel Universum (Wiener Straße 4, 28359 Bremen) and in the lecture hall building GW1 (Universitätsallee, 28359 Bremen). The venues are right next to each other.

There are several ways to get to the Congress venue. We recommend using public transport.

By public transport:

From the stop “Universität Süd” it is only a few minutes' walk to the ATLANTIC Hotel as well as the GW1 auditorium (see map). You can reach it via tram line 6 stopping at Bremen city center, the railway station, and the airport. From the railway station, you can also take the bus 630 and 670 departing every half hour.

For those continuing to travel in Germany, there is the option of getting the “Deutschlandticket” (D-Ticket for short). It lets you travel by all means of local public transport for just 49€ per month. You can buy the ticket via the website of Deutsche Bahn (https://fahrkarten.bahn.de/privatkunde/start/start.post?lang=en&redirected=1#stay) or of most local transport companies. Please note that the ticket requires a monthly subscription issued at the first day of the calendar month. You can cancel until the 10^th of each month to avoid for the subscription to run over into the next month.

By bike:

Coming from Bremen city centre, turn into Parkallee at the large roundabout “Stern” and follow the road until the “Universum Bremen” on the left-hand side. The ATLANTIC Hotel is right behind it. The lecture hall building GW1 is just on the opposite side of the road. There are numerous bike parking facilities on campus.

It is easy to rent bikes via wk-bike (https://www.wk-bike.de/en/bremen/information/) which has stations all over the city. For holders of the Deutschlandticket, the first thirty minutes of each ride are free.

By car

Coming from the A27 motorway, take the exit “Horn-Lehe/Universität” and follow the signs to “Universität/Innenstadt”. Before you reach “Universum Bremen” on the right-hand side, leave Universitätsallee and turn right into Wiener Straße, where the ATLANTIC Hotel is located.

Coming from the city centre, follow Parkallee from the “Stern” roundabout until you turn left behind the “Universum Bremen” into Wiener Straße, where the ATLANTIC Hotel is located.

Parking facilities

...of the ATLANTIC Hotel:

Chargeable outdoor parking spaces or an underground car park are available directly at the hotel.

Outdoor parking: 11,00 € per day

Underground car park: 13,00 € per day

Parking for e-car: 20,00 € per day (incl. charging at an e-charging station)

...of the university:

University car park Bibliothekstraße & University car park Universitätsallee.

The fees for the parking spaces are 1 € per day.
