On December 17, 2024, Mehrdad Bahrini successfully defended his dissertation An HCI Approach to Privacy and Security in Mobile and Ubiquitous Applications. In his thesis, he deals with the user-friendly design of security and data protection: user-centered approaches should enable users to make informed digital decisions. In several studies, Mehrdad investigated motivation, capabilities and triggers to improve user interaction with privacy and security settings and provide practical frameworks for intuitive tools and education.
