We are happy to announce that on July 12th 2021 Maximilian A. Friehs from the psychology department at the University College Dublin will give a talk at our EDM (Empowering Digital Media) round.

Dr. Maximilian A. Friehs is a cognitive neuroscientist with a PhD in Psychology from the University of Trier (Germany), where he also completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science studies. He currently works as an Assistant Professor at the School of Psychology at University College Dublin (Ireland). During the last years he collaborated with researchers around the globe on a multitude of projects; some of the most frequent collaborators include the Human-Computer Interaction Lab at the University of Saskatchewan (Canada) and the Lise-Meitner Research Group Cognition & Plasticity at the Max-Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences (Germany). His research mainly focusses on the modulation of (prefrontal) neural processes via external influences such as acute stress, medication or non-invasive brain stimulation (e.g., TMS and tDCS). Additionally, he works on applied research in the area of sports and video games.
