From the 4th till 6th of November, our colleagues Thomas Mildner and Nima Zargham conducted a workshop on Responsible and Ethical AI in CUI-Technologies (REACT) with discussions about how to interact with and design conversational user interfaces (CUIs) like voice assistants, social robots, and chatbots in a conscientious and ethical way.

The workshop was organized in collaboration of the University of Bremen, Technical University of Eindhoven, and University College Dublin, with support by the Klaus Tschira Stiftung and Leibniz Science Campus Digital Public Health.

Challenging Topics like "Responsible Embedding of LLMs in CUIs" and "Ethical Caveats in CUIs and HRI (Human Robot Interaction)" were discussed with focus on risks and opportunities from a human-centred perspective. For further information ask Thomas Mildner.
