A variety of events on the topic of ‘racism at universities’ will take place at the University of Bremen between now and May. “It is indeed a current topic. The upcoming DAAD meeting in Bremen is a welcome opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues of other universities,” says Annette Lang, director of the International Office.

The 39th annual meeting held by the DAAD ‘International Students’ also deals intensively with this topic. It will be held at the University of Bremen between March 11 and 13. Saboura Naqshband and Steffen Beigang from the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM) will open the meeting with their plenary talk ‘Enrolled – Setting an Example Against Racism at Universities.’ The accompanying photo exhibition ‘Reflexions – Racism is like a Poison administered from the cradle’ by Meryem Yildiz will be held in the foyer of the Keksdose.

Within the framework of the series Diversity@Uni Bremen, additional events on the topic of racism will be held.
