Study Program
Besides being advised regarding their dissertation, scholarship holders will be accompanied by a common interdisciplinary study program.
While focusing on their own project, stipendiaries will be trained interdisciplinary for a broader spectrum of topics as well. Therefore, courses from other application areas or adjacent disciplines, e.g., cognition science or psychology, extending the core area of research of the graduate school will be offered.
Additionally, visiting scientists integrated into the study program and offering special courses will further promote internationalization and exchange within the graduate school.
There will be regular work meetings and colloquiums of scholarship holders to encourage interaction and collaboration. Furthermore, working groups and workshops will be organized on non-scientific topics, such as science communication, technological transfer, time management and presentation techniques.
Junior researchers in their postdoc phase have the possibility to support the supervision of doctoral students with their own topics. Thus, there is the excellent opporunity in Bremen to encourage some of the best former fellows of the "Advances in Digital Media" program as co-supervisors by including them as postdocs together with the new scholarship holders in the graduate college.
