Welcome to Iddo Wald as a new colleague in our working group

Since April Iddo Wald works as a doctoral student at the Digital Media Lab. He is a multidisciplinary researcher, designer and engineer. In the past he worked as an Electrical Engineer for Intel, completed his MA/MSc in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London and co-founded an IoT/wearables medical device startup. He later joined Reichman University’s communications school faculty, where he built and led the design and technology development team at the Media Innovation Lab (milab). Following five years in the research management team, he took part in building and leading the first year of the university's MA in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) program as Head of Design & Technology Studies.

Before joining the Digital Media Lab, Iddo acted as Chief Design & Technology Officer and co-headed a NeuroHCI research group at Reichman University's Institute for Brain, Cognition & Technology. At the institute he was responsible for the HCI aspects of the research work, design and technology development, and oversaw research projects through all stages from conceptualization through design and development to behavioral and neuroimaging experiments.

Iddo has a broad interest which shows in the selection of his favorite topics like: NeuroHCI, Neuroscience, Sensory substitution, Muti-modal interactions, Haptics and Shape-changing interfaces, Social robotics and Human-robot Interaction.

We warmly welcome Iddo to our team
