D03 - Electrochemical High Throughput Characterisation of Metallic Micro-Probes
D03 - Electrochemical Characterisation
The overall objective of this project is the identification of scalable correlations of the corrosion behaviour of metals on their composition and post-treatment (Einfärbung). The use of micro-samples allow examining the influence of grain boundaries on the corrosion behavior due to reduced structural defects.
The main idea is the use of a novel micro-flow-cell enable high-throughput electrochemical investigation and an optical assessment of the altering surface.
These findings will contribute to the development of a scale-bridging model for predicting the corrosion behaviour of metals and alloys.
