Dr. Jessica Birkholz is currently working as a research assistant (postdoc) in the research group "Innovation and Structural Economics" (Prof. Dr. Jutta Günther) at the University of Bremen. Her research interests lie in the area of the emergence and diffusion of innovations. In addition, she is active in the hyBit project.
Previously, Ms. Birkholz completed her studies in business administration at the University of Bremen (B.Sc. 2015 and M.Sc. 2018). In the context of her dissertation, which was completed in September 2022, she dealt with the connection between entrepreneurship and knowledge creation and diffusion in regional innovation systems.
