Person
Moritz Hennicke is a Postdoc in the Mod-Block-GDR Project at the Universität Bremen. He obtained his PhD awarded jointly by the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Belgium and Cergy Paris Université (CYU) in France. In his research he is interested in the transformation of institutions and bureaucracies and their role for firms. His work on the transformation of East Germany’s former Communist enterprises in the context of the German reunification was covered by e.g.the Spiegel, the SZ and LeSoir. At the ULB and the joint master program between the Solvay School of Economics and Management and Georgetown University he assisted in the teaching of methods of Causal Inference, Statistics and Political Economy. Prior and during his PhD he worked as a consultant for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the World Bank (WB) and the International Security and Development Center (ISDC).
