Students on the four-semester Master of Education program receive an advanced specialist education in modules drawn from their future teaching subjects as well as in educational sciences and subject didactics. In their second subject-related semester, they must undertake the obligatory in-school teaching internship. The “Master of Education” degree qualifies for admittance to teaching practice (Referendariat) in the same way as a conventional “First State Examination”.
