LEMEX in Berlin!

Last week, Merle Petersen and Quynh Duong Phuong participated in the workshop “The Impact of Gendered Migration Cycles on the Labor Market Integration of Female Migrants in European Welfare States - Developing Pathways towards Gender-responsive Policies” at the Technical University of Berlin.

The workshop focused on the important role of the welfare state in shaping labor market outcomes for migrant women and the growing influence of female migrants as entrepreneurs who bring innovation and diversity to the economy. It was also emphasized that gender-sensitive policies are necessary to support all women, especially migrant women, in their professional development. Natalia Vershinina, Raushan Aman, Tanja Fendel, Dr. Alexandra David, Dr. Judith Terstriep, Prof. Dr. Felicitas Hillmann, Anne Cathrin Ziegler, Anette Fagertun, Giacomo Solano, Ghazal Zalkat, Deepica Sachdeva, Dr. Ralf Sänger, Lukas R.
