This year's symposium on strategic aspects of organizational capabilities was organized by the Kaiserslautern colleagues Gordon Müller-Seitz and Jun.-Prof. Dr. Anja Danner-Schröder.

The interactive event format on Strategic Competence Management (SCM) was already founded in 1999 by Jörg Freiling, at that time still at the Ruhr University Bochum.

A publication format associated with the symposia is the C-ranked (VHB JOURQUAL 3) "Journal of Strategy, Competences and Management" (JSCM).
