Breaks and Poster sessions

During all breaks and poster sessions we invite you to meet the poster authors and other participants in our interactive workshop environment on the platform gather.town. Here you will use your personal avatar to …

  • visit the poster exhibition for in depth discussions with the authors;
  • meet colleagues in private spaces for small group discussions, e.g. at the bar or at the beach.

This is the link for participation:

https://gather.town/invite?token=-2nus4BA6nDMv6XAlRBYlzOILsikhxZ5

All poster authors of the day’s pitch session will be available for discussions in the poster room. There is a small private space in front of each poster, everybody within this area will be in a video chat especially dedicated to the poster.

The Royal Society of Chemistry with its new journal "Energy Advances" is sponsoring two poster prizes, 100 € each.

One prize will be awarded for each poster session / day.

During the last session of the day, all participants will vote on the winner of the day via zoom. Both winners will be honoured on Thursday during the award ceremony.

We are aware that a major drawback of a virtual meeting is the lack of informal discussions and exchange that usually takes place during the breaks.

Here are two ideas how to network during our virtual meeting:

  • If you want to talk to a specific person use the private chat function in zoom or gather.town to make contact and arrange a meeting point on gather.town.
  • Find a person on gather.town: click the name in the list of participants, you can message, spot or follow the person.
  • Wandering around the poster session and the lobby on gather.town is as easy as during a normal conference.

Find a private space (e.g. around tables, in the meeting room, …) to have a discussion in a small group
