The coaching programme navigare addresses female early career researchers (doctoral candidates, postdocs) who aim for a professorship or gaining a leadership position in science.

Two programmes will start in September 2017 as a joint initiative of six running coodinated DFG programmes and MAPEX:

The ‘classical’ programme is offered in German with a slightly stronger focus on possible gender barriers in science whereas the ‘international’ version will be in English and with a stronger emphasis on the scientific career of female scientists in an internatinoal environment.

Both programmes are coordinated and were developed by the office for equal opportunities at the University of Bremen.
