1st PhD Summer School Cognitive Psychology

In June 2012, the first doctoral workshop on general psychology took place at the University of Würzburg.

From a loose idea in 2011, 28 highly motivated doctoral students were admitted to this company (middle doctoral age: 3.33 doctoral semester, SD = 2.63). Half of them had already arrived on Friday morning to take part in the so-called cRash course - an introduction to data analysis with the statistical software R.

At around 3 p.m. the starting signal for the actual event is given. Up to Sunday noon, current doctoral topics were presented and discussed in 19 lectures. The content-related program was rounded off by contributions from three other participants - Arndt Bröder, Bettina Rolke and Christian Frings - who managed to thank you again for the participation in the workshop in entertaining lectures.

In addition to the exciting lectures given by the participants, two further program items will be awarded: a historical city tour with the Würzburg night watchman and a guided tour of Armin Stock through the Museum of the History of Psychology.
