Research

Content:

Our research focuses on basic cognitive human performance in the areas of (1) action control and multitasking, (2) memory and (3) language processing. Although genuinely fundamentally motivated, we also try to consider applied aspects of the studied fields and to include them accordingly in the research. The research program is rounded off by work in the field of Applied Statistics and Cognitive Modeling.

Methods:

Methodically, the experiment is in the foreground, with reaction times and error measures usually serve as dependent variables. In addition, trajectory analyzes of body movements are used, in particular mouse trajectories as a continuous measure on the way to a decision. Cognitive modeling is used in addition to look at certain phenomena from a different angle.
