Annelies Blom
Annelies Blom was appointed to the University of Bremne in September 2022 and has held the Chair of Sociology and Quantitative Social Research ever since. Previously, Annelies Blom was a research professor for political science and data science at the University of Mannheim. In Mannheim, she established the German Internet Panel (GIP) and directed it for ten years. Since 2023, she has also been an honorary professor at the Digital Social Science Core Facility (DIGSSCORE) at the University of Bergen.
Her research focuses on data sampling methods, especially in panel studies, international comparative surveys and probabilistic online panels, sampling and machine learning in social science methodology.
